Re-thinking Homelessness & Co-creating Tomorrow

Department of Housing and Public Works

This research and development project forms a part of a larger project funded by the Dignity First Fund, which “was created to deliver start-up funding and small capital grants for innovative responses that help people experiencing homelessness to live with dignity.”

The project examines how care and support is perceived and experienced by homeless people in and around Brisbane, and seeks new ways to improve related services based on the needs and desires of the homeless people themselves. It aims to gain new insights through creative and design research methods involving those who are currently homeless and those who have been recently but no longer homeless, then to co-create innovative digital and service designs with key organisations and individuals who provide care and support for homeless people.
